Before
Every morning someone downloads the processor file, opens it in Excel, deletes columns, fixes the date format, saves it as a new file and imports it into the herd software, then deals with the warning about unmatched animals. About 20 minutes a day.
After
The file is detected when it arrives, validated, converted into the herd software's import format and imported. Unmatched animal IDs are listed for a person to check. Every run is logged with the time and record count.
